Root Vegetables Are In Season

With fall in full-force, our seasonal vegetables change too. Fall is a great time to enjoy local root vegetables. Root vegetables in season during November include beets, carrots, onions, parsnips, potatoes, rutabagas, and turnips.

Not sure how to cook root vegetables? It’s easier than you think! Wash and cut into cubes, toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and roast in the oven until tender. Serve alongside your favourite fall meal for added vitamins, minerals and fibre—the ingredients for a healthy family.
