Who Are You?

I'm Mrs. Iftody, your new principal! 

I am thrilled to join the Godson community as principal. I grew up in Abbotsford and later married and raised my daughter here. I have been an educator in the Abbotsford School District for 30 years. In those thirty years I have been a classroom teacher, a learning support services teacher, a district curriculum helping teacher, a vice principal at both elementary and middle levels, a principal at several elementary schools, and the district principal of learning support services.  But, my most important role was/is "Mom". Even my grown daughter tells me that I am a mother to all my school children. 

I count it as a privilege to serve this community. Everyone needs to feel a sense of belonging where they live, work, and learn. I believe all people have an inherent value and that each person has unique gifts to offer the world. Developing authentic, caring relationships with others is key to understanding how to support others in their learning. Part of my role is to help create an environment where students can grow and learn to reach their potential. I invite you to join me in that adventure!
