Career Development
Our students will succeed in a much different future from the one we envisioned 10 or 15 years ago. It is our responsibility to prepare all children for success in whatever life path they choose, connecting learning opportunities with future career possibilities. We know that real-life experiences - like community involvement, gaining business knowledge, and hands-on-learning - build better students and life-long citizens.
Goals
- Improve core competencies so students can achieve career/life goals.
- Improve graduation rates.
Engaging students in science activities, such as exploring the parts of a pumpkin, helps them build foundational skills that connect directly to future careers. Through hands-on investigation, students practice observation, measurement, and critical thinking—skills essential to fields like biology, environmental science, agriculture, and engineering. Activities like these spark curiosity about how things work in the natural world and encourage students to ask questions, gather data, and draw conclusions, much like real scientists and researchers do. By making these connections early, students begin to see how classroom learning can lead to exciting and meaningful career paths in STEM and beyond.
